Through the 31B reclassification course, the Maryland National Guard’s 70th Regiment provided training to help meet the Guard’s demand for military police officers.

The Maryland National Guard celebrated the opening of the post-September 11th mobilization display in the Maryland Museum of Military History June 27, 2013, at the Fifth Regiment Armory in Baltimore.

BALTIMORE (June 25, 2013) – Firefighters of Baltimore’s Engine Company 45 will soon be able to break bread in a recently renovated kitchen, thanks to a training partnership with the Maryland Army National Guard’s 244th Engineer Company.

Due to the need for heightened security, military police with the Maryland National Guard conducted their annual training at Fort George G. Meade, Md., June 2-14 to provide support to their active duty counterparts.

The Maryland Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve committee hosted a Bosslift June 6, 2013, for 17 employers, who had the opportunity to visit members of the Guard during their annual training at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Md.

Maj. Gen. James A. Adkins, adjutant general of Maryland, announced the appointment of a new senior enlisted advisor for the Maryland National Guard on June 5, 2013.

A call comes in. A freight train has derailed in a neighborhood right outside Baltimore, it is on fire and black smoke can be seen for miles spreading across the city. More details are unknown at this point, but one thing is for sure, help is needed to control the blaze.
