Energy Program for Low-to-Moderate Income Marylanders Makes Strong Impact

Maryland residents can realize huge savings by capitalizing on energy programs that increase energy efficiency and
promote improved quality of living.

Established in 2010, the Low-to-Moderate Income Grant (LMI) encourages innovative ideas directed at helping communities, neighborhoods, or entire buildings make energy efficient upgrades. Projects are geographically located in all regions of the state, submitted by nonprofit organizations and local governments that work directly with residents in need, like low-to-moderate income residents.

The LMI program was recognized by the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE) for the Social Equity award; a new category for 2019.
