The Future of Carbon Capture in Maryland – Free Webinar

The Maryland Energy Administration Presents: The Future of Carbon Capture in Maryland

November 19-20, 2019 – Free Webinar

schedule as of 11/18/19

As policy makers in the State of Maryland, Director Mary Beth Tung would like to invite you to attend a free webinar forum on Carbon Capture Sequestration and Utilization and how it may benefit Maryland to reach its goal of 100 percent clean electricity by 2040. This is a key part of Governor Hogan’s C.A.R.E.S. initiative.

Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) is a technology that can capture up to 90% of the carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions produced from the use of fossil fuels in electricity generation and industrial processes, preventing the carbon dioxide from entering the atmosphere.

On November 19th and 20th, industry professionals, policymakers, and public sector representatives will discuss the future of carbon capture in Maryland, and you are invited to participate in our free webinar. This is a two day event, register for each day of the webinar below. *Please note you must register to participate and discussion topics will be different each day.
