MD VW Plan Project Proposal Deadline Announcement

Maryland’s Volkswagen Mitigation Plan has been accepted by the Trustee and the MD Department of Environment (MDE) has set the due date for diesel-related project proposals as close of business on Monday May 6, 2019. Please note, this due date is not applicable for proposals related to zero emission vehicle infrastructure. Proposals for zero emission vehicle infrastructure projects will continue to be accepted past the May 6th deadline as the scope and criteria for this portion of the funding is further developed.

For projects to be considered for award, an applicant must submit a completed application using the template provided on MDE’s Volkswagen site. The template can be found here.

While MDE does not anticipate opening another round of funding for diesel-based projects, if funds remain after this initial round of project proposals are selected, another round of proposals will be opened and new projects considered.
