Maryland Energy Administration 2018 Montgomery County Day Visits

10:30 am Visit the Kathy A.P. Mathias Agriculture grantee, Rock Hill Orchard to see their 136 kW solar photovoltaic system and compressor heat recovery unit which recycles heat to use in the dairy. The new Kathy A.P. Mathias Agriculture grant is open and accepting applications till November 16.

12:30 pm Site visit of Strathmore Arts Center’s energy efficient lighting improvements, completed under Montgomery County, a Maryland Smart Energy Communities (MSEC) program member.

2 pm Lt. Governor Rutherford and Director Tung will tour of B’nai B’rith Homecrest House to see a new air conditioner / chiller made possible by our Clean Energy Communities low-to-moderate income grant the program. The new Clean Energy Communities low-to-moderate income grant is accepting applications now though October 26.
