Bids for Annual Trapping Privileges Accepted Until Oct. 14 The Maryland Department of Natural Resources is currently accepting bids for the 2020-2021 trapping season within public lands on the Eastern Shore. Janes Island Hosts International Coastal Cleanup Day

Volunteers Sought for Beach Cleanup Sept. 15 The annual International Coastal Cleanup at Janes Island State Park begins at 9 a.m. Sept. 15. This event provides volunteers the opportunity to learn more about the Somerset County park, have a boat ride and earn community service hours while cleaning beaches and marshes.




Governor Hogan Honors Employee for Customer Service

Somers Cove Marina Executive Director Tom Schisler Recognized at Board of Public Works Governor Larry Hogan recognized Maryland Department of Natural Resources employee Tom Schisler today with a Customer Service Heroes Award. Trapping Opportunities Available on Lower Eastern Shore

Sealed Bids Accepted Until Oct. 18 The Maryland Department of Natural Resources is currently accepting bids for the 2017-2018 trapping seasons at multiple public lands located on the Lower Eastern Shore. Properties include Janes Island State Park and Cedar Island, Deal Island, E. A. Vaughn, Isle of Wight, Johnson, Maryland Marine Properties, Pocomoke River, Pocomoke Sound, South Marsh Island, and Wellington wildlife management areas.
