June Honorees

Matt Dennies volunteered to investigate an issue when the Office of Design, Construction & Energy was contacted regarding a ceiling collapse at the Sweeney District Court in Annapolis. The ceiling in the courtroom had a structural failure. Fortunately, this happened over a holiday weekend and no injuries were reported. But, this raised concerns about other courtrooms. Matt contacted an engineer and a contractor and had them onsite the next day. Along with completing the repairs to the original courtroom, the team was proactive and completed reinforcements to the bulkheads in four other courtrooms. In all working double shifts and weekends Matt and the team worked double shifts and weekends to complete the repairs a week ahead of the planned schedule. For his dedication and willingness to take on an emergency project, we recognize Matt Dennies for Doing Great Service.
