General Services Appoints Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent for Annapolis Buildings and Grounds

General Services is proud to announce the promotion of two members of our senior leadership team.

Ms. Andra Shaw is appointed as the Superintendent of Annapolis Buildings and Grounds. Andra has been serving as the Acting Superintendent for the past 4 months. Before that, she served as the Assistant Superintendent for Annapolis, a regional manager in charge of several Annapolis buildings, and the Annapolis health and safety officer.  Next month, Andra will celebrate 7 years with General Services. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Policy Analysis and a Master’s in Business Administration, and has had extensive safety and emergency management training.

General Services is also pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Hector Maldonado as the Assistant Superintendent for Annapolis Buildings and Grounds. Hector joined the Office of Facilities Management last year providing value as the contracts manager for the Facilities Management team. In addition he has served his country as a Sergeant First Class with the Army National Guard and was activated for several months to help lead a mass COVID-19 vaccination site. Hector has extensive private sector experience in facilities management, including nuclear power plant maintenance. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and a Master’s in Technology and Performance Improvement Studies, and has also taken a number of leadership development courses.
