What better way to kick-off the New Year than by lacing-up the sneakers and spending quality time with loved ones while enjoying nature’s beauty?
The Maryland Park Service is hosting a leisurely, guided hike of the Woodmont Natural Resources Management Area (NRMA) starting at 1 p.m. on Sunday, September 30. Particpants will follow a park ranger to discover and learn about the park’s natural wonders, and see the colorful fall leaves as they begin to make their appearance.
Fort Frederick State Park is hosting an afternoon of outdoor fun for the whole family with an Earth Day hike and craft-making activity from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 22.
“We are going to have a great time,” said Charles Sullivan, park naturalist and hike guide. “Families will get to enjoy the outdoors while learning about the flora and fauna that can be found throughout the park.”
