Fort Frederick Hosts Evening of Stargazing

Where: Fort Frederick State Park Nature Center, 11100 Fort Frederick Road, Big Pool

Cost: $3 per vehicle for State residents; $5 per vehicle for non-residents.

Fort Frederick State Park hosts the TriState Astronomers for an evening of stargazing. Guests will observe double stars, star clusters, nebulae, planets and galaxies using a variety of telescopes. The astronomers will help participants identify constellations and answer questions.

Fort Frederick State Park Hosts Astronomy Program September 15

A naturalist will lead guests through an observation of the vast night sky at Fort Frederick State Park’s astronomy program, starting at 8:15 p.m. on September 15. Participants can expect to see nebulae, double stars, globular star clusters, galaxies, and other deep sky objects.
