Progression of Catonsville District Court House Construction

The new 130,000 GSF Catonsville District Court is under construction in the Rolling Crossroads Professional Park. DGS’s newest court house represents a $63 million dollar commitment to Maryland’s Judiciary. When completed in two years, it will replace the existing Court House on Wilkens Avenue. The new Catonsville District Court House includes space for eight (8) court rooms with associated judges’ chambers; Court Administration spaces for clerks, cashiers and commissioners; Office for the Public Defender; Offices for the Baltimore County States’ Attorney; Baltimore County Police Liaison offices; Sally port and Detention Areas. Tenant agencies included in the facility are DPSCS-Parole and Probation’s Drinking Driving Monitor Program (DDMP) and the Department of Juvenile Services. Offices for the DGS Facilities Operations Division are also included to manage the new facility. On-site parking is provided in a 425 space multi-level parking garage.
