Firearm Hunting for Deer Resumes in Maryland Jan. 10

Additional hunting opportunities available in most counties The Maryland Department of Natural Resources will open the winter firearm deer hunting season on Jan. 10, 2025 in Deer Management Region B, which includes all of the state except the westernmost counties. Final Harvest Numbers Higher than the Previous Season The Maryland Department of Natural Resources reported that deer hunters harvested 79,457 deer during the combined archery, firearms, and muzzleloader seasons, from Sept. 6, 2019 through Jan. 31, 2020.
