A Frederick County woman was charged Saturday with heroin possession after a traffic stop on I-97 by a Natural Resources Police officer.

Rhiana Leigh Housley, 25, of Middletown, was southbound when she was stopped at about 1:30 p.m. after an officer noticed the vehicle swerving and leaving the roadway.

When asked by the officer, Housley said she had drugs in a suitcase in the car trunk. Inside a wallet, the officer found syringes, a spoon and a plastic bag containing what appeared to be heroin.

Housely received a criminal summons for drug and paraphernalia possession. She will appear in Anne Arundel District Court at a later date.
