Orientation and Qualification Dates Announced for Parker’s Creek

Wildlife Management Area Now Open for Deer Hunting

The Parker’s Creek Wildlife Management Area in Calvert County will open for deer hunting this fall season.

Those interested in hunting the area must possess a free Southern Region Seasonal Permit, complete a free Hunter Orientation and Shooting Qualification session and must make daily reservations.

Orientation and qualification trainings are scheduled for the following:

• Sept. 24: Parker’s Creek Wildlife Management Area – 9 a.m. (Orientation)
• Oct. 7: Parker’s Creek Wildlife Management Area – 9 a.m. (Orientation)
• Oct. 14: Myrtle Grove Wildlife Management Area – 1 p.m. (Orientation and Qualification)
• Nov. 18: Myrtle Grove Wildlife Management Area – 12 p.m. (Orientation and Qualification)
