Qualification Shoots Scheduled for Managed Deer Hunts

Maryland’s 2015-2016 Shooter Qualification Schedule is now available and includes more than 20 firearm qualification sessions at 13 locations across the state. These events allow hunters to take the shooting proficiency test that is required before they can participate in many of the managed deer hunts held in Maryland.

Note that several locations only offer shooter qualification by appointment, and many of the host organizations charge a minimal fee to cover expenses.

DNR will continually update the online shooter qualification calendar as additional events become available.
