Farmers Market at DNR in Annapolis Kicks Off June 4

peaches, blackberries and tomatoes The Anne Arundel County Farmers Market located just outside of downtown Annapolis is back and ready to provide residents with fresh fruits, vegetables and homemade goodies all summer long! Starting June 4, the market will run from 3 to 6 p.m. every Thursday through September 3. 

Hosted by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources, the market is located in the parking lot of the Tawes State Office Building at 580 Taylor Avenue, Annapolis. It features fresh produce including tomatoes, corn, melons, berries and peaches, as well as fresh baked goods, homemade jerky, and free-range meat and eggs! Additionally, the market will offer local wines from Cove Point Winery and jerk chicken from Mad Flava.

Maryland’s Best encourages citizens to buy locally-grown products at markets, restaurants and grocery stores to help create a more sustainable state. This simple act helps cut down on packaging and fuel for transport, utilizes and protects agricultural lands, supports small businesses, and keeps money circulating within the State.
