Phillip Gilmore, a wheeled vehicle mechanic, demonstrates some of the tasks a mechanic would perform on a vehicle for maintenance or repair.<\/em><\/span><\/p><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: large\"><strong>Training:<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\nJob training for a wheeled vehicle mechanic requires 10 weeks of Basic Combat Training and 13 weeks of Advanced Individual Training with on-the-job instructions. Part of this time is spent in the classroom and part in the field.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: large\"><strong>Future Civilian Career:<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/span>The skills you learn will help prepare you for a career with service stations, auto dealers, farm equipment companies and state highway agencies.
