Thomas Lamb, recently transferred from the 100th Mobile Public Affairs Detachment, Texas Army National <\/sub><\/sup><\/b><\/span><\/em><strong><em><strong><sup><sub>Guard, and moved to Maryland, this year.<\/sub><\/sup><\/strong><\/em><\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">After Lamb graduated from Defense Information School &#8211; where Service members of every stripe attend to learn about the different fields in communications, video, radio broadcasting, and graphic design &#8211; he immediately volunteered to\u00a0 assist with his new home state\u2019s COVID-19 relief operations.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">&#8220;It&#8217;s definitely a dynamic time for the Maryland National Guard. So it&#8217;s no surprise that dynamic soldiers are stepping in to join our ranks,&#8221; <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">stated Major Brendan Cassidy, unit commander of the 29th MPAD.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Lamb, 25, was born and raised in Houston, Texas, and has been married to Laurel Lamb for four years. Cassidy was recently promoted from captain to major. <\/sup><\/sub><\/em><\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">He is one of several Soldiers who sought to support the Maryland National Guard\u2019s Public Affairs Office during the state\u2019s fight against COVID-19.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201c[If I could] tell you one thing, it&#8217;s a lot colder here [in Maryland]. It&#8217;s colder and more expensive, but I wouldn&#8217;t trade it for the whole world,\u201d <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Lamb also said.
