Janeen Birckhead, assistant adjutant general – Army,  and the Maryland Army National Guard’s 729th Quartermaster Composite Supply Company.

What: A ceremony held in Baltimore City to honor the deployment of about 200 members of the Maryland Army National Guard’s 729th Quartermaster Composite Supply Company assigned to the BG Thomas B. Baker Readiness Center located in Ellicott City, Maryland. The Soldiers will deploy to Poland in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve for nine months to provide logistical support operations within the U.S. European Command area of operations.  The 729th QM Composite Supply Co. first gained federal recognition in the Maryland National Guard on September 30, 1921, initially as a medical regiment before transforming into a support company. Soldiers of the 729th last activated in 2017 to assist Puerto Rico in the response and relief efforts following Hurricane Maria.
