Maryland Army National Guard Soldiers of Task Force 291, the headquarter element for the currently deployed 58th Expeditionary Military Intelligence Brigade, and its subordinate unit 629th Military Intelligence Battalion, joined ranks with Soldiers from the 29th Combat Aviation Brigade to conduct riot control training on Jan. 18, 2021.

Maryland Air and Army National Guard medical personnel formed Mobile Vaccination Support Teams to aid the Maryland Department of Health and county health departments in the state’s vaccine response efforts. Maryland Governor Larry Hogan activated the MDNG to accelerate the distribution of COVID-19 vaccinations.

More than 140 Maryland National Guard members began supporting the Maryland Department of Health today with COVID-19 vaccinations. MDNG Soldiers and Airmen are gearing-up to form mobile vaccination support teams, which will provide support to county health departments with vaccinations during the global pandemic.
