Why did you decide to join?

I decided to join the military because I’ve always felt a deep sense of duty and patriotism towards my country. I wanted to serve something greater than myself and make a meaningful contribution to society. Additionally, I saw the military as an opportunity for personal growth, adventure, and the chance to develop valuable skills that would benefit me both during my service and beyond. 

 

What has been your favorite moment or part of serving?

During the COVID-19 pandemic, my favorite moment was time in the military because I found fulfillment in serving many of the Baltimore communities during times of crisis. Whether it was providing medical support, distributing supplies, or assisting with logistics, which made my dedication and services commendable.    

 

What makes you proud to serve in the National Guard?

Versatility because the National Guard gives me a unique opportunity to serve both in military roles and in civilian careers, allowing me to contribute in various ways.    

 

 What are you looking forward to next in your career? 

I’m always looking forward to new challenges and opportunities to learn and grow. Whether it’s improving my abilities to assist new soldiers joining the military, opportunities to lead larger teams, or specialized training in the field of logistics. I’m excited to see what the future holds.

I hold the highest scores in the Maryland National Guard Comet score evaluation which is a 99% overall.
