(COCKEYSVILLE, Md.) \u2013 Maryland State Police are investigating a fatal pedestrian crash that occurred this morning in Baltimore County.<\/p>\n
At about 4:50 a.m., troopers from the Maryland State Police Golden Ring Barrack responded to southbound Interstate 83 south of Shawan Road for a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle. According to a preliminary investigation, a male for unknown reason ran out onto the road when he was struck by a tractor-trailer.<\/p>\n
The pedestrian, identified as Kingdavid Okolo, 17, of Cockeysville, Maryland, was declared deceased at the scene by Baltimore County Fire Department personnel. The driver of the tractor-trailer remained at the scene.<\/p>\n
No other injuries were reported in connection with this incident. I-83 South was closed following the crash.<\/p>\n
