Maryland State Police Identify Victim In Fatal Crash In Worcester County

(BERLIN, MD) – Maryland State Police have identified the person killed in a crash on Tuesday morning in Worcester County.

Around 5 a.m. on Tuesday, troopers from the Maryland State Police Berlin Barrack responded to a reported crash in the area of southbound Route 113 at Shad Landing.  According to the preliminary investigation, a male was driving a 2020 Hyundai Elantra, when for unknown reasons, he drove off the roadway and struck a tree.

The driver, identified as Tyshawn Timothy Warren, 19, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, was pronounced deceased at the scene by emergency medical service personnel. His body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy.

A passenger in the vehicle, a 19-year-old female, from Norfolk, Virginia, was transported via Maryland State Police helicopter (Trooper 4) to Peninsula Regional Medical Center for treatment of her injuries.

The crash remains under investigation by the Maryland State Police Crash Team.
