Serious Personal Injury Crash on Baltimore Beltway

On 7/10/18 at approximately 2:47 p.m., Golden Ring Barrack received a call for a motorcycle collision at the above listed location. Upon Troopers arrival, it was learned that two trike-style motorcycles were involved in the collision. Preliminary investigation revealed the motorcycles were riding together in lane 2 in moderately congested traffic. The female operator of the first motorcycle braked suddenly, causing the male operator of the second motorcycle to strike the first motorcycle. The male operator was unresponsive and being transported to Shock Trauma for serious injuries by Baltimore County EMS, and the female operator was also transported to Shock Trauma for serious injuries. Troopers on scene advised they were the only two vehicles and occupants involved.

An ACI from Golden Ring Barrack responded to the scene to conduct an investigation. During the investigation, all three lanes were closed temporarily, but reopened at approximately 4:30 p.m. SHA assisted with the lane closures.
