Twelve Honorees from Seven School Systems<\/b><\/h3>\n

BALTIMORE\u00a0\u00a0\u2013 Maryland\u2019s Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) delegation brought home eight awards from the recent National Leadership Conference (NLC) and Competition hosted in Baltimore. Held June 28 through July 1, 2018 at the Baltimore Convention Center, this conference played host to thousands of students, advisers, judges, presenters, and families from around the country.<\/p>\n

More than 350 students and advisers from Maryland attended the NLC alongside more than 14,000 students and advisers from throughout the U.S., Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Department of Defense Dependent Schools Europe, China, and Haiti. Attendees participated in leadership workshops, campaign rallies, regional meetings, and competitive events. The Maryland students listed below received national ranking at the FBLA Awards of Excellence Program held July 1, 2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Two additional important recognitions for Maryland go to FBLA student, Marjorie Antonio, from Eastern Technical High School, and her chapter adviser, Daniel Murphy.\u00a0 Marjorie was identified as Maryland\u2019s Who\u2019s Who in FBLA while her adviser was honored as the Outstanding Local Chapter Adviser for Maryland.<\/p>\n

Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda, Inc. is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) education association. Its mission is to bring business and education together in a positive working relationship through innovative leadership and career development programs. The association is headquartered in Reston, Virginia. Within Maryland, more than 3,200 students participate in 85 high school FBLA chapters across the State.<\/p>\n
