Smith will welcome educators to the National Association of State Directors of Special Education (NASDSE) in Baltimore on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, Dr. Marcella Franczkowski, Assistant State Superintendent for the Division of Special Education\/Early Intervention Services, will provide a keynote address on Sunday, October 4 at 10:45 a.m.,\u00a0 \u201c<em>Beyond Compliance: Implementing Systems Change in Maryland for Improved Outcomes<\/em>.\u201d Franczkowski will share Maryland\u2019s strategic work to engage families and to impact results that narrow the gap for children with disabilities.
