BALTIMORE \u2013 Leaders from Maryland\u2019s 24 local school systems will meet in Annapolis on Thursday, March 22 for the 2018 Maryland Center for School Safety Summit.<\/p>\n
Taking place in an atmosphere of heightened concern for schools, the summit will focus on state-of-the art preparation and prevention ideas and protocols during the morning sessions. School system administrators and guidance staff will discuss safety with their local law enforcement, fire departments, EMTs, and emergency management officials during the afternoon break-out sessions.<\/p>\n
The Center is an independent unit of the State government, administered in cooperation with the Maryland State Police and the Maryland State Department of Education.<\/p>\n
