BALTIMORE \u2013 The Maryland State Board of Education will hold its regular meeting on Tuesday, February 27, at the Maryland State Department of Education, 200 W. Baltimore Street, Baltimore. It will be held in the State Board room on the 7th floor beginning at 9 a.m. <\/p>\n
Items on this month\u2019s agenda include the following (times approximate): <\/p>\n
The State Board will discuss and review recommendations related to the Bridge Plan, Maryland\u2019s project based alternative to the high school assessments in algebra, English 10, biology, and government.<\/p>\n
The State Board will hear a report on Maryland\u2019s early childhood system and the multiple strategies being used to improve early learning throughout the State. <\/p>\n
The State Superintendent will provide an overview of the state\u2019s assessment system as it evolves to provide students, parents, educators, and the community with better student information at a faster pace.<\/p>\n
The State Superintendent and the State Board will provide follow-up to last month\u2019s response by the Prince George\u2019s County Public Schools to the independent audit of its graduation rates.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
