Baltimore Street, Baltimore. It will be held in the State Board room on the 7th floor beginning at 9 a.m.  <\/p>\n<p>In addition, the State Board will hold a work session on Monday, February 27.  It will be held in conference room 6 in on the 8th floor beginning at 10 a.m.  The session will be used to discuss Maryland\u2019s plan for the Every Student Succeeds Act.<\/p>\n<p>Note: Parts of the 7th floor are currently under reconstruction.  While the State Board room itself remains open, visitors should be aware there may be some construction-related dust and other inconveniences.<\/p>\n<h3>Items on the Feb. 28 regular meeting agenda include the following:<\/h3>\n<h3>9:03 a.m.\tBaltimore School for the Arts<\/h3>\n<p>A choral group from the Baltimore School for the Arts will perform for the State Board and others gathered for the meeting.<\/p>\n<h3>9:10 a.m.\tEvery Student Succeeds Act<\/h3>\n<p>The Maryland State Department of Education will continue its consideration of Maryland\u2019s plan for the federal Every Student Succeeds Act.<\/p>\n<h3>1:30 p.m.\tSuperintendent of the Year<\/h3>\n<p>The State Board will recognize Dr. Theresa Alban, Superintendent of the Frederick County Public Schools, recently named Maryland\u2019s Superintendent of the Year for 2017.
