The students will also have the opportunity to interact with an astronaut, engineers, and other science-related professionals while learning about cutting edge STEM careers. In addition, they will have access to the Challenger Learning Center, NASA\u2019s Goddard Space Flight Center\u2019s Science on Sphere.<\/p>\n<p>The<strong><em> 2014 Maryland Summer Centers Program<\/em><\/strong> continues a 47-year commitment at the State level to provide summer educational opportunities for Maryland\u2019s gifted and talented students. The program, coordinated through the Maryland State Department of Education, in partnership with public and nonpublic agencies, provides Maryland\u2019s diverse gifted and talented student population with advanced, rigorous, experiential learning opportunities that nurture these students\u2019 talents and abilities within unique learning environments.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WHO<\/strong>:\u00a0Gifted and Talented students entering grades 7-9 interested in exploring, collaborating, and implementing various levels of robotic challenges to search for simulated lunar ice.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WHEN:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong>July 7-22, 2014<br \/>\n8:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m.<br \/>\n(Monday through Thursday only)<\/p>\n<p><strong>WHERE:\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong>The Howard B.
