Elijah Cummings invited to visit the school as American Education Week gets underway.<\/p>\n<p><strong>5 p.m. \u2013 Superintendent\u2019s Family Engagement Council,<\/strong> Maryland State Department of Education, Conference Room 1, 8th Floor, 200 W. Baltimore Street, Baltimore, MD 21201<br \/>\nDr. Lowery will take part in a regular meeting of the Council.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><strong>Tuesday, November 18<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/span><\/strong><strong>8 a.m. \u2013 Cecil County Schools, <\/strong>District Office, 201 Booth Street, Elkton, MD\u00a0 21921<br \/>\nDr. Lowery will join Cecil County Superintendent D\u2019Ette Devine in a visit to three schools in the system to celebrate American Education Week.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><strong>Wednesday, November 19<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/span><\/strong><strong>No public schedule.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><strong>Thursday, November 20<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/span><\/strong><strong>12 p.m. \u2013<\/strong> <strong>U.S. Professors of the Year, <\/strong>National Press Club, 529 14th Street, 13th Floor,<br \/>\nWashington, DC 20045<br \/>\nDr. Lowery will be attending a luncheon honoring the nation\u2019s top college professors.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><strong>Friday, November 21<\/strong><\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>8 a.m. \u2013 Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching<\/strong>, Hotel Monaco, 700 F Street, NW, Washington, DC 20004<br \/>\nDr. Lowery will be taking part in the Foundation\u2019s meeting as a member of the organization\u2019s Board of Trustees.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Editor\u2019s Note:<\/em><\/strong><em>\u00a0 Each Friday, Dr. Lillian Lowery, Maryland\u2019s State Superintendent of Schools, will publish a calendar of her public events planned for the next week.
