The campaign will kick off at the Kent Island Branch of the Queen Anne\u2019s County Free Library in Stevensville, Maryland.\u00a0 A highlight of the event includs presentations by Queen Anne\u2019s County Career and Technology Education students.<\/p>\n<p>The event will be followed by a series of presentations highlighting the CTE programs offered in Queen Anne\u2019s County Public Schools.\u00a0 The presentations will take place in January of 2015 at the Kent Island and Centerville branches of the library as we all as Sudlersville Middle School and will feature Career and Technology Education student presentations and demonstrations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCareer and Technology Education and libraries are wonderful resources for students and exemplify the model of collaboration at both the state and local levels,\u201d said Dr. Jack Smith, MSDE\u2019s Chief Academic Officer. \u201cThis public awareness campaign will allow parents, students, and the community to learn more about Queen Anne\u2019s County Public School\u2019s system of Career and Technology Education through their local public libraries.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are thrilled to be partnering with the Queen Anne\u2019s County Free Library to highlight the importance of Career and Technology Education and to share with the community the wonderful opportunities these programs offer students,\u201d said Carol Williamson, Queen Anne\u2019s County Public Schools Superintendent.<\/p>\n<p>Queen Anne\u2019s County Public Schools offers more than 20 CTE programs of study at its two high schools \u2013 Queen Anne\u2019s County High School and Kent Island High School.
