State Superintendent Search: Maryland State Board of Education Seeks Input From Online Survey

BALTIMORE  – The Maryland State Board of Education has initiated its search for a new State Superintendent of Schools. A key step in this process is to identify the characteristics the state is seeking for the new State Superintendent of Schools.

The Board invites your participation in this process to share your views by responding to the online survey at: https://ecrasurvey.com/msdesupt2020 by March 4th.  We appreciate your assistance in communicating this information to community members, organizations, and colleagues who may want to provide input.

The State Board has retained the search firm Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates (HYA). Once all input provided through the online survey, regional forums, and other stakeholder input is gathered, the final report and Leadership Profile will be posted on the Maryland Public Schools  website at http://www.marylandpublicschools.org/Pages/default.aspx.
