11:35 a.m. Prince George’s County Audit Report

Based on the initial report, the State Board requested a second audit, which Alvarez & Marsal recently completed.

The State Board will hear a report on the new Maryland Report Card website, which will go live on Tuesday. The greatly revamped site includes a variety of new accountability tools for Maryland’s public schools.

3:00 p.m. Pathways to Maryland Certification
The State Board will hear a report on the six current routes to initial Maryland educator certification. Board members will consider if all six remain aligned to MSDE’s comprehensive plan to increase the rigor and accountability of educator certification and teacher preparation programs in Maryland, and may suggest revisions.
