Maryland State Board of Education, MSDE Mourn Loss of Maryland Speaker Michael E. Busch

BALTIMORE – The Maryland State Board of Education and the Maryland State Department of Education mourn the loss of the Maryland Speaker of the House, Michael E. Busch.

Speaker Busch began his career as a teacher and maintained his support for education throughout his life.

“From his time in the classroom to his years in the legislature, Speaker Busch’s passion, vision, and leadership touched the lives of all Maryland students,” said Dr. Justin Hartings, Maryland State Board President. “We send our condolences to his family, colleagues, staff, and friends at this time.”
