Maryland State Board of Education Meets on Tuesday, December 3rd
BALTIMORE – The Maryland State Board of Education will hold its regular meeting on Tuesday, December 3, at the Maryland State Department of Education, 200 W. Baltimore Street, Baltimore. The meeting will be held in the State Board room on the 7th floor, beginning at 9 a.m.
Items on this month’s regular agenda include (times approximate):
10:00 a.m. Maryland Report Card
The 2019 Maryland School Report Card will be released and Maryland’s accountability system will be reviewed. Updates will include new aspects of the School Report Card, including results from a statewide School Survey and indications of improvement in school performance from last year.
11:15 a.m. High School Graduation Task Force
The Maryland High School Graduation Task Force will provide the State Board with recommendations regarding Health Education and Technology Education.
1:30 p.m. Curriculum Vetting
The State Board will be briefed on the outcomes of Maryland’s curriculum vetting process that have identified schools for comprehensive support and improvement (CSI Schools).
