Interim State Superintendent of Schools Jack R. Smith will celebrate American Education Week with visits to two Maryland schools this Thursday.

Dr. Smith will visit classes at Pointer Ridge Elementary in Bowie and Tracey’s Elementary School in Tracey’s Landing.

American Education Week runs through November 20.  The annual celebration puts a spotlight on education and the important role it plays in Maryland and throughout the nation.
