It also supports the Maryland General Assembly\u2019s passage of the WARMTH Act of 2024, which launched the networked geothermal pilot project being planned by the state\u2019s two largest gas utility companies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cThe foundation of whole-home electrification efforts in the state is education,\u201d <\/span><b>said Maryland Energy Administration Director Paul G. Pinsky. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cThe agency is seeking to support trusted community partners to inform residents about the ins and outs of electric heating and cooling options, plus electric clothes dryers and stoves.
