Pinsky. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cOffshore wind energy development makes a ton of sense for a state dedicated to delivering a clean energy future, and the green energy industry holds immense promise for Marylanders. These programs help both prosper.\u201d\u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span><b>\u00a0\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Maryland Offshore Wind Education &amp; Workforce Program and the Maryland Offshore Wind Supply Chain Investment Program will have a combined Fiscal Year 2025 (FY25) budget of $5 million.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Additional program details are provided below.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Maryland Offshore Wind Education &amp; Workforce Program<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/energy.maryland.gov\/Pages\/Info\/renewable\/offshorewindworkforce.aspx\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Maryland Offshore Wind Education &amp; Workforce Program<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> has a total funding pool of $3 million for FY25 to focus on two areas.<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Industry Education: Nonprofit organizations, government institutions, public institutions, or emerging businesses may apply for grants up to $500,000 to develop or expand general, non-certification oriented, offshore wind education programs, and will cover up to 75% of total project costs.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Workforce Training: Nonprofit organizations, government institutions, public institutions, or emerging businesses may apply for grants of up to $500,000 to develop or expand general, non-certification oriented, offshore wind education programs, and will cover up to 75% of total project costs.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2><b>Maryland Offshore Wind Supply Chain Investment Program<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/energy.maryland.gov\/Pages\/Info\/renewable\/supplychaininvestment.aspx\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Maryland Offshore Wind Supply Chain Investment Program<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> has a total funding pool of $2 million for FY25 to focus on two key areas:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Capital Expenditures: Nonprofit organizations, government institutions, public institutions, or emerging businesses may apply for grants up to to 50% of total project costs, not exceeding $400,000, to offset capital expenditures for entering the offshore wind industry.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Industry Events: Nonprofit organizations, government institutions, public institutions, or emerging businesses may apply for grants up to $5,000 for attending eligible offshore wind industry events.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Maryland Offshore Wind Education &amp; Workforce Program will be open until November 29, 2024. The Maryland Offshore Wind Supply Chain Investment Program will remain open until December 15, 2024.
