The <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/energy.maryland.gov\/residential\/Pages\/CommunitySolarLMI-PPA.aspx\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Community Solar Low- to Moderate-Income Power Purchase Agreement Grant Program<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/energy.maryland.gov\/business\/pages\/ResilientMaryland.aspx\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Resilient Maryland Program<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, both of which have received major awards from the Clean Energy States Alliance, are now open for applications. Projects funded by these programs can help the state equitably increase access to the benefits of clean and resilient energy solutions, keep the lights on, and keep energy costs lower for Marylanders.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cThese programs are two of our \u2018heavy-hitters.\u2019 The Community Solar Low- to Moderate-Income Power Purchase Agreement Grant Program helps Maryland bring the benefits of solar energy to our overburdened and underserved communities who have traditionally been unable to access them,\u201d <\/span><b>said<\/b> <b>Maryland Energy Administration Director Paul G. Pinsky.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> \u201cMeanwhile, the Resilient Maryland Program continues to help us make our energy systems more robust and reliable. These programs move us toward Maryland\u2019s clean energy and greenhouse gas reduction goals and strengthen our communities.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/energy.maryland.gov\/residential\/Pages\/CommunitySolarLMI-PPA.aspx\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Community Solar Low- to Moderate-Income Power Purchase Agreement Grant Program<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> returns in Fiscal Year 2025 to provide funds to community solar subscriber organizations that provide the benefits of community solar farms to Maryland\u2019s low-to moderate-income communities. New this year, the program now offers enhanced incentives that encourage the siting of community solar systems on landfills and other brownfield sites.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Applications to the FY25 Community Solar LMI-PPA Grant Program are due to the Maryland Energy Administration no later than November 29, 2024.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Interested parties should contact David Comis, Senior Clean Energy Program Manager, by sending an email to <\/span><a href=\"mailto:Solar.MEA@Maryland.gov\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Solar.MEA@Maryland.gov<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> to learn more.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/energy.maryland.gov\/business\/pages\/ResilientMaryland.aspx\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">FY25 Resilient Maryland Program<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> returns for its sixth year to offer preconstruction planning and capital support funds to Maryland organizations pursuing microgrids, resiliency hubs, and other resilient energy systems.
