Pinsky.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> \u201cBy increasing the number of charging stations across the state, this program is reducing reliance on fossil fuels, improving air quality, and creating a cleaner, healthier environment for future generations.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The FY25 Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment Rebate Program provides financial incentives to homeowners and businesses to install charging stations, making electric vehicle ownership more convenient and accessible for all Marylanders.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Program Overview<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Rebates are available for the purchase and\/or installation of eligible electric vehicle supply equipment (charging stations) at homes and businesses.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Rebates are issued on a first-come, first-served basis, with limited funding available.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Applicants are reimbursed for expenses incurred after completing the project.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Program Highlights<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Residential Rebates:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Up to 50% of costs, capped at $700 per charger. Limited to one rebate per resident.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Commercial Rebates:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Up to 50% of costs, capped at $5,000 per charger. Maximum total award of $125,000 per applicant in FY25.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Eligible Costs:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Charger equipment, installation, labor, permitting, and site preparation.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Ineligible Costs:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Electricity, ongoing maintenance, taxes, shipping, and credit card fees (new for FY25).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Project Requirements:<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Must be located in Maryland and used for charging electric vehicles.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Level 1 electric vehicle supply equipment (120V) is no longer eligible.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Must be safety certified and purchased new.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Installation by a Maryland-licensed electrician is required (unless self-installed with a valid license).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Public or private access, networked or non-networked, and hard-wired or plug-in configurations are all acceptable.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>How to Apply<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Applications are available electronically and by mail.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Residential applicants can request a secure email link to submit their application.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Complete applications with required documentation must be received<\/span><b> within 6 months of project completion.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Visit the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/energy.maryland.gov\/transportation\/pages\/incentives_evserebate.aspx\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">FY25 EVSE Rebate Program website<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> for detailed application instructions.
