Under the Community Solar Pilot Program (a program overseen by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.psc.state.md.us\/\">Maryland Public Service Commission<\/a>), Maryland residents can \u201csubscribe\u201d for solar energy from a \u201csubscriber organization\u201d, and thus receive the benefits of solar energy as if it were on their roof, even though the solar panels may be miles away.
