As an added bonus, cars parked underneath are protected from the weather. Dual use structures like solar parking canopies are just one of the many energy programs offered by the <\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/energy.maryland.gov\/Pages\/default.aspx\">Maryland Energy Administration (MEA)<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The MEA <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/energy.maryland.gov\/business\/Pages\/incentives\/PVEVprogram.aspx\"><b>Solar Parking Canopy grant<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> states that electric vehicle (EV) charging stations must be incorporated on each project and this helps to further expand our state\u2019s EV charging infrastructure.
