{"id":4535,"date":"2020-07-13T17:13:25","date_gmt":"2020-07-13T21:13:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/news.maryland.gov\/mea\/?p=4535"},"modified":"2020-07-13T17:13:25","modified_gmt":"2020-07-13T21:13:25","slug":"new-round-of-funding-for-maryland-commercial-energy-upgrades-available","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/news.maryland.gov\/mea\/2020\/07\/13\/new-round-of-funding-for-maryland-commercial-energy-upgrades-available\/","title":{"rendered":"New Round of Funding for Maryland Commercial Energy Upgrades Available"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Maryland Energy Administration (MEA) has several programs designed to support the commercial and industrial sector like our<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/energy.maryland.gov\/business\/Pages\/incentives\/empowermdcigp.aspx\"> <b>Commercial, Industrial and Agricultural (CI&amp;A) program<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, which is a competitive grant that provides funding for deep energy retrofit projects at a wide range of facilities. Applications from the agricultural, commercial, industrial and non-profit sector are all welcome. The Fiscal Year 2021 (FY21) program will be divided into three separate application periods to best support energy efficiency projects for agriculture, manufacturing, and businesses that may be in varying planning stages or at various stages of readiness due to COVID-19.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Up to $1.65 million is available for in the FY21 CI&amp;A program cycle, subject to availability. The budget will be divided between three application windows, see below.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Round 1: $550,000 available for applications received in application period 1 from July 10 \u2013 <\/span><b>September 10, 2020<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. Applications are due by 11:59 P.M. on September 10th. Applications will be reviewed on a competitive basis by an evaluation team. Award announcements will be made as applications are competitively selected for award. Applications are due by 11:59 P.M. on November 11th. Applications will be reviewed on a competitive basis by an evaluation team. Award announcements will be made as applications are competitively selected for award.<\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<hr \/>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Round 3: $550,000 available for applications received in application period 3 from November 12 \u2013January 12, 2021. Applications are due by 11:59 P.M. on January 12th. Applications will be reviewed on a competitive basis by an evaluation team.
