As policy makers in the State of Maryland, Director Mary Beth Tung would like to invite you to attend a free webinar forum on\u00a0Carbon Capture Sequestration and Utilization<\/strong>\u00a0and how it may benefit Maryland to reach its goal of 100 percent clean electricity by 2040. This is a key part of Governor Hogan\u2019s C.A.R.E.S. initiative.<\/p>\n

Carbon Capture and Storage\u00a0(CCS) is a technology that can\u00a0capture\u00a0up to 90% of the\u00a0carbon dioxide\u00a0(CO2) emissions produced from the use of fossil fuels in electricity generation and industrial processes, preventing the\u00a0carbon dioxide\u00a0from entering the atmosphere.<\/p>\n

On\u00a0November 19th<\/strong>\u00a0and 20th<\/strong>, industry professionals, policymakers, and public sector representatives will discuss the future of carbon capture in Maryland, and you are invited to participate in our free webinar. This is a two day event, register for each day of the webinar below. *Please note you must register to participate and discussion topics will be different each day.<\/p>\n
