The November 13, 2019 Strategic Energy Investment Advisory Board Listening Session will be held from 12 PM \u2013 1:00 PM EST at Salisbury University (Room GSU234), 1101 Camden Ave, Salisbury, MD 21801<\/a><\/p>\n

Please note this is the Eastern Maryland Strategic Energy Investment Advisory Board Listening Session, this is not a hearing. This listening session is an opportunity for local residents to come and learn about the energy projects being funded by the Strategic Energy Investment Fund (SEIF).\u00a0 The Maryland Energy Administration (MEA) is the administrator of SEIF funds and puts out an annual report which demonstrates achievements being made towards promoting affordable, reliable, and cleaner energy for the benefit of all Marylanders. Click\u00a0here\u00a0<\/strong><\/a>to see how the 2018 SEIF helped Marylanders or\u00a0here\u00a0<\/strong><\/a>to download the full 166 page report.\u00a0 The 2019 SEIF report will be put out at the end of December.<\/p>\n

Senate Bill 52 (2019) requires that the Maryland Energy Administration (MEA) \u201cshall hold at least four public meetings across the State… in the eastern, southern, central, and western parts of the State, respectively; and.. is encouraged to solicit input from all regions of the State\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

In an effort to comply with the same, MEA is pleased to announce that the Eastern Maryland regional listening session will take place on Wednesday, November 13 at the Guerrieri Student Union room 234 at Salisbury University in Salisbury, Maryland<\/a>. At that event, there will be an opportunity for public comment regarding future planning and use of the Maryland Strategic Energy Investment Fund. Those who wish to make public comments in person, should sign into the meeting no later than 12:15 PM.<\/p>\n

The listening session will be broadcast live on MEA\u2019s Facebook page. Instructions for submission of written comments are available below. Any additional meeting materials will be found here as they become available.<\/p>\n
