Including the current Fiscal Year 2019 (FY19), the C&amp;I program has provided a total of over $12 million in grants for a wide array of recipients for measures that reduce annual electricity consumption by more than 53 million kilowatt-hours(kWh).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/news.maryland.gov\/mea\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2019\/04\/CandI-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2608\" src=\"http:\/\/news.maryland.gov\/mea\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2019\/04\/CandI-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1253\" height=\"695\" srcset=\"https:\/\/news.maryland.gov\/mea\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2019\/04\/CandI-1.jpg 1253w, https:\/\/news.maryland.gov\/mea\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2019\/04\/CandI-1-300x166.jpg 300w, https:\/\/news.maryland.gov\/mea\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2019\/04\/CandI-1-768x426.jpg 768w, https:\/\/news.maryland.gov\/mea\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2019\/04\/CandI-1-1024x568.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1253px) 100vw, 1253px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Up to $1.245 million dollars in total funding was available in FY19, distributed through three program tiers:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: circle\">\n<li>Tier 1 \u2013 Corresponds to 15% &#8211; 20% reduction in overall electricity usage. Incentive Level: Up to 30% of net total project cost, or $150,000, whichever is lower;<\/li>\n<li>Tier 2 \u2013 Corresponds to 20.1% &#8211; 25% reduction in overall electricity usage. Incentive Level: Up to 40% of net total project cost, or $175,000, whichever is lower; or,<\/li>\n<li>Tier 3 \u2013 Corresponds to 25.1%+ reduction in overall electricity usage. Incentive Level: Up to 50% of net total project cost, or $200,000, whichever is lower.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The thirteen grant winners for the FY19 C&amp;I program were spread across the central part of the State and Maryland&#8217;s Eastern Shore as see in the map below.
