REISTERSTOWN, Md. (November 24, 2015) \u2014 Governor Larry Hogan hosted an exercise\u00a0for top officials in his administration at the Maryland Emergency Management Agency today.\u00a0The discussion and drill, which focused on a blizzard scenario, boosted state agencies\u2019 ability to\u00a0collaborate on a variety of issues that arise during winter storms and related emergencies.<\/p>\n
\u201cMaryland is susceptible to a wide range of natural hazards, including winter storms, hurricanes,\u00a0and flooding,\u201d said Governor Larry Hogan. \u201cI\u2019ve directed my administration to work together\u00a0before the first snowstorm this season to ensure that State government can effectively respond to\u00a0any storm or emergency this winter.\u201d<\/p>\n
Over twenty-five leaders from state agencies and offices participated in today\u2019s event. This\u00a0exercise is the first in a series of drills directed by the Hogan administration related to emergency\u00a0management, disaster preparedness, and homeland security.<\/p>\n
