MDE is providing a $3 million grant to help pay for the project.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Water is our most essential natural resource. The Maryland Department of the Environment is committed to protecting that resource and providing all Marylanders with a safe and clean drinking water supply,&#8221; said MDE Secretary Robert M. In recognition of his achievement, Kern&#8217;s Fragaria and Oriole sketch will be featured on the 2014-2015 cover of the Maryland Bay Game. The Bay Game aims to give students a better understanding of nature and includes activities and experiments for children.
