Jay Apperson<\/strong><\/p>\n (410) 537-3003<\/a> Adrienne Diaczok<\/strong><\/p>\n (410) 537-3003<\/a> Prettyboy Elementary School Hosts Maryland Department of the Environment for Air Quality Awareness Week Presentation<\/b><\/p>\n Baltimore, MD (May 1, 2017) <\/b>– In celebration of Air Quality Awareness Week, Maryland Department of the Environment Secretary Ben Grumbles will meet with fifth-graders from Prettyboy Elementary School in northern Baltimore County, tomorrow, Tuesday, May 2 to discuss air pollution and the effects of breathing polluted air. <\/span><\/p>\n Last month the department released its <\/span>Maryland Clean Air 2017 Progress Report<\/span><\/a>. The report describes the strong evidence that Maryland\u2019s pollution control programs, including Governor Larry Hogan\u2019s more stringent requirements for coal-fired power plants, are working to clean the air.
